Synchronous Incremental Launching System

The YIPU Hydraulic Synchronous Incremental Launching System is engineered for the short-distance transportation of heavy and large objects, including bridge segment installation, building relocation, and the movement of substantial structures.

The system features two primary launcher designs: the stationary launcher and the load-following launcher:

  • The stationary launcher remains fixed at the launching position while the load moves in the intended direction. This design is ideal for bridge segment launching, where the launcher is mounted on piers, allowing the bridge to advance smoothly over it.
  • The load-following launcher moves alongside the load on a track. Both the launcher and load progress forward as hydraulic jacks exert force against the launcher, with the reaction force absorbed by a locking mechanism embedded in the tracks.

The launching system is seamlessly integrated with YIPU Hydraulic ’s computerized synchronous and three-dimensional positioning system, which incorporates a frequency converter and sensors. This advanced setup enables precise control and synchronization of multiple launchers, ensuring uniform movement and launching force across all units in operation. Additionally, the three-dimensional positioning program allows for fine adjustments of the object’s level in all six degrees of freedom, making it highly suitable for launching steel box girders and truss girders with exceptional accuracy.

Leveraging a robust 700-bar operating hydraulic pressure, the launchers are designed to be compact and lightweight. Their modular construction simplifies on-site installation, a critical advantage for bridge girder applications where launchers must be positioned high on piers.
