Shanghai White Magnolia Plaza Slipform Work Synchronous Jacking System
Project Overview :
Situated in the heart of Shanghai’s North Bund, the White Magnolia Plaza features three towers, with the tallest soaring to 319.5 meters. Upon completion, it will serve as the headquarters for an international air transportation and finance center.
Engineering Challenges
Building on the success of the Shanghai Centre slipform system, this advanced system introduces a modular structural design and a short-stroke, high-tonnage synchronous pin-and-lift mechanism. This innovation eliminates the need for long-stroke jacks and numerous side-locking cylinders, which can be less effective due to variable site conditions.
Our Solution
The steel slipform, measuring 22 meters by 22 meters, incorporates 22 jacking points. Each point is equipped with two 20-ton hydraulic jacks, each with a 250 mm stroke length. Controlled by a state-of-the-art YIPU computerized controller, the system achieves a jacking speed of 100 mm/min with a synchronization accuracy of ±2.5 mm, ensuring precise and efficient lifting operations.
