As urban underground transportation infrastructure expands, deep excavations for subterranean construction have become increasingly common. Ensuring the stability and safety of shoring systems during these excavations is a complex challenge. Precise monitoring and control of load changes on shoring beams are critical to maintaining the integrity of the excavation pit.
Technical background
YIPU has developed an advanced hydraulic support load compensation and monitoring system to address these challenges. This system continuously tracks load variations on shoring beams, automatically adjusting to maintain stability during excavation. It also monitors load and displacement changes for each beam, transmitting real-time data to a control room for remote oversight.
Our Solution
The system includes 40 units of 320-ton double-acting hydraulic jacks, each fitted with pressure transducers and displacement sensors mounted on the shoring beams. Ten hydraulic power packs with integrated control valves supply the jacks. A sophisticated computerized intelligent controller oversees the load on each jack, activating the control valves to extend the jacks and compensate for load reductions caused by soil movements. Displacement data is simultaneously relayed to the control room, enabling remote monitoring of site conditions to ensure safety and stability.
