Engineering Challenges :

Each steel section of the bridge tower, weighing up to 500 tons and measuring approximately 20 meters by 10 meters, requires machining to a tolerance of 0.1 mm on mating faces to ensure precise alignment during assembly. The substantial weight and size of these sections pose significant challenges for accurate positioning on the machining center during fabrication.

Our solution

YIPU Hydraulic, leveraging our advanced 3D adjustment technology, developed a high-precision 3D hydraulic positioning system tailored for the tower fabricator, Wuhuan Heavy Industries.

The system employs six hydraulic 3D adjustment mechanisms, each capable of supporting up to 200 tons. Controlled by a sophisticated PLC-based computerized controller, the system enables precise adjustments of the steel tower sections in the X, Y, and Z directions, as well as rotations around the X, Y, and Z axes, achieving a control precision of 0.1 mm. To ensure stability and withstand cutting forces and vibrations during machining, the system incorporates mechanical supports to maintain precision and structural integrity.
