64-Point Intelligent Synchronous Slip-Form System—Grain Silo Construction

Project Overview :

This project involves the construction of two large cylindrical grain silos, each supported by 32 synchronized control points, forming a 64-point hydraulic intelligent synchronous slip-form system in total.
A total of 8 sets of 8-point synchronous control units were deployed on-site, achieving a high synchronization accuracy of ±1 mm throughout the continuous lifting process

Technical Background :

Technical Challenges

During the continuous slip-form construction of cylindrical silos, precise control of:

  • Roundness and vertical alignment

  • Balanced stress distribution

  • Stable reinforcement and formwork structure

is critical to construction safety and quality.

Any asynchrony in lifting may lead to:

  • ⚠ Structural deviation or misalignment
  • ⚠ Reinforcement deformation
  • ⚠ Formwork offset and safety risks

Thus, high-accuracy multi-point synchronization is essential to ensure project success.

Our solution:

YIPU deployed its multi-point hydraulic synchronous lifting system, ensuring safe and controlled construction throughout the process:

Key Technologies Benefits
64-point synchronized control Displacement error ≤ ±1 mm, ensuring structural alignment
Ring-arranged high-pressure cylinders Stable and uniform lifting force
Multi-channel Hydraulic Power Units (HPU) Equalized pressure to avoid stress concentration
Digital real-time monitoring platform Continuous data feedback, adjustments, and alarms
Continuous slip movement control algorithms Smooth, efficient, and uninterrupted lifting

The system delivered high precision, stability, and continuity, providing strong technical assurance for the successful silo construction.
